July 26th COVID-19 Update
New COVID-19-related updates for providers of long-term/post-acute care (LTPAC) and senior services continue to be shared on a regular basis by both state and federal authorities. The latest developments are discussed below.
As a reminder, LeadingAge NY continues to convene weekly webinars on Mondays at 11 a.m. to address emerging questions on COVID-19. Nursing Home Updates
LeadingAge National RoPs QuickCasts Now Available
Nursing home members are reminded that the following Requirements of Participation (RoPs) QuickCasts (brief webinars) with checklists have been made available by LeadingAge National:
- New Nursing Home RoPs Guidance 2022: Admission, Transfer, and Discharge: This 12-minute QuickCast provides an overview of revisions related to nursing home requirements in the admission, transfer, and discharge section of the new surveyor guidance. It also highlights strategies for implementation, which are covered more fully in the associated Implementation Checklists available with the QuickCast and on the LeadingAge National Nursing Home RoPs Tools and Resources page.
- New Nursing Home RoPs Guidance 2022: Abuse and Neglect: In this 24-minute QuickCast, LeadingAge National’s Jodi Eyigor provides an overview of revisions related to nursing home resident health and safety in the Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation section of the new surveyor guidance.
LeadingAge National will continue to release resources on the various sections of the new and updated guidance as the Oct. 24th compliance date approaches.
