Caring Gene Virtual Job Fairs

The Caring Gene® is a multimedia campaign, sponsored by the Iroquois Healthcare Association Workforce Investment Organization (IHA WIO), aimed at recruiting individuals to both clinical and non-clinical roles within long term care organizations across New York State. All programs offered by the IHA WIO are FREE to long term care organizations.

As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to impact the long term care sector, the need to continue this recruitment program remains great. The Caring Gene® campaign will be relaunching statewide this winter featuring new messaging and creative to captivate job seeker audiences. The new website design will enhance long term care providers’ ability to recruit qualified candidates as well as provide a greater user experience for prospective job applicants. The relaunch of the website will serve to give potential job seekers – especially those new to the industry – educational information related to long term care and provide interested individuals access to training, certification resources, and advanced job search filtering capabilities. Providers will now be able to post job and training listings via a secure portal, while job seekers will be able to apply for opportunities directly on the site. If you are a provider interested in signing up for the Caring Gene®, please visit CaringGene.org or contact IHAWIO@iroquois.org

The Caring Gene® will also be offering its first-ever online Virtual Job & Training Fair. This series of virtual recruiting events will be a great opportunity for long term care organizations to feature current job and training openings and meet virtually with potential candidates. During the fair, you will be able to interact with prospective candidates, eliminating the immediate need to meet face to face. Click here for more information; the first event in Long Island is scheduled for Feb. 9th.
