DOH Provides Clarification on Paid Feeding Assistant Waiver Expiration

LeadingAge NY has received clarification from the Department of Health (DOH) on the expiration of the federal Paid Feeding Assistant Program waiver. DOH advised us that any facility that wishes to continue using a Paid Feeding Assistant Program would need to implement the required 15 hours of training. In addition, any facility that was allowed to have a Paid Feeding Assistant Program under the federal waiver should send a letter to the Department, as explained on page 5 of the DOH curriculum manual.
