New State Masking Guidance Requires Policies as Strict as CDC

Consistent with CDC recommendations, in counties with High Community Transmission Levels, masks are recommended for everyone in a health care setting where they might encounter patients or residents. In areas where Community Transmission Levels are not High, providers may choose not to require masks; however, masking is recommended for individuals with confirmed or suspected infections, who are exposed to COVID-19, who are residing or working in a unit experiencing an outbreak, or who are subject to a public health recommendation to mask.
