Hurricane Season Preparedness for Adult Care Providers

PLEASE NOTE: Change in Date of the Virtual Tabletop Exercise

The Brookdale Center for Healthy Aging of Hunter College, in cooperation with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Office of Emergency Preparedness and Response, are facilitating an interactive virtual tabletop exercise for adult care providers to assist them in preparing for the upcoming hurricane season. The event is scheduled from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., Thurs., June 13, 2013. Brookdale will recruit a minimum of 10 facilities to participate.

Adult care providers interested in participating are asked to please RSVP via email to: epcentral@hunter.cuny.edu or call 212-396-7837.

Please note that the suggested number of participants per ACF 1-2, and participants should be familiar with the facility’s disaster plan.  Additional information will be sent out to participants prior to the exercise.
