Final Report to DOH: Bathing Without a Battle - Creating a Better Bathing Experience for Persons with Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders

Through the New York State Depart of Health Dementia Grants Project, the Foundation for the Long Term Care managed a BWOB dissemination in six diverse nursing homes from January 2008 through December 2011.  Read the final report with analysis done by Brown University's Center for Gerontology & Healthcare Research that found a significant decrease in verbal aggression coupled with a significant increase in staff's use of person-centered bathing techniques.
