LeadingAge NY is seeking member input as we compile our 2023 Advocacy and Public Policy priorities in preparation for the next legislative session. The deadline for input is Oct. 28^th.

LeadingAge NY's remarks focused on the failures of prior waivers to invest in services for older adults and the pressing need for a renewed emphasis on the long term care system given demographic changes. Comments on the 1115 waiver amendment are due on Oct. 19^th.

LeadingAge NY looks forward to helping the State improve how long term care services and supports are delivered and paid for.

Pending the receipt of direction from DOH regarding its response to the new CDC and CMS guidance on COVID-19 infection, LeadingAge NY has developed a comparison chart of the federal guidance with prior DOH guidance. Members should note that once DOH issues new guidance, this comparison will no longer be valid.

New guidance effective Oct. 24^th.

Submission of data for the Quality Reporting Program health care personnel flu vaccination coverage measure began Oct. 1^st. In addition, providers have 45 days from Sept. 30th to correct or resubmit their PBJ data in order to ensure the accuracy of the CMS staffing measure.
