MDS Audits Spreading

Audits of nursing home MDS assessments associated with the January 2012 census roster submissions are proceeding in several parts of the state as OMIG seeks to complete 90 audits before the end of March.  Members who have undergone the audits report that compiling the MDS records, patient charts and related documentation for the auditors in advance have helped make the reviews go smoothly and quickly.  If you are notified of an MDS audit, please let us know.  We are interested in tracking whether the fairly positive experiences that members have reported thus far will continue in all areas of the state. 

Additionally, OMIG is kicking off 2002 base year audits.  If you receive a base year audit notice, please let us know as well.
