Emergency regulations to implement vaccine mandate for ACFs, home care, and other health care settings also proposed.

The new guidance allows TNAs, who have worked during the pandemic under a federal 1135 waiver, to obtain certification as CNAs by taking a 40-hour training class, instead of the usual 100-hour class. TNAs who have worked for 30 days or 150 hours in a TNA position are eligible for the abbreviated training program.

Some enforcement discretion is allowed.

The reports will be available for completion through Oct. 8, 2021.
