Updated Resources for FY 2027 and 2028 SNF QRP

(Sept. 19, 2025) The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has released updated resources for the Skilled Nursing Facility Quality Reporting Program (SNF QRP). Updated resources include the Minimum Data Set (MDS) data elements and the Standardized Patient Assessment Data Elements (SPADES) for Fiscal Years (FY) 2027 and 2028. Both resources can be downloaded on the SNF QRP Measures and Technical Information webpage. In addition, the SNF QRP Data Collection and Final Submission Deadlines for FY 2028 were released and can be downloaded on the SNF QRP Data Submission Deadlines webpage. There is also an updated SNF QRP Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) document that can be downloaded on the SNF QRP FAQs webpage. A best practices document for the FY 2027 SNF QRP is available on the LeadingAge NY website and can be accessed here.
