CMS to Lift Temporary Pause in Quality Measures Rating Adjustments Due to Schizophrenia Audits

(Sept. 19, 2025) Beginning with the September Nursing Home Care Compare refresh anticipated to occur on Sept. 24, 2025, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) will lift the temporary pause in the quality measures rating adjustments impacted by schizophrenia audit findings. Nursing homes affected by the lift will be notified via the Provider Preview Report. Questions regarding schizophrenia audits can be sent to DHN_BehavioralHealth@cms.hhs.gov.
