CMS Issues QRP Non-Compliance Letters

(July 29, 2025) As the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) announced on their Quality Reporting Program (QRP) Spotlights and Announcements webpage, CMS has issued notices to Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNFs) that were determined to be out of compliance with SNF QRP requirements for Calendar Year (CY) 2024. Non-compliance notifications were distributed by the Medicare Administrative Contractors (MACs) and placed into facilities’ My Reports folders in the Internet Quality Improvement and Evaluation System (iQIES) on July 21, 2025. Non-compliance with CY 2024 reporting will result in a reduction of the Annual Payment Update (APU) impacting rates that will go into effect on Oct. 1, 2025. Requests for reconsideration can be submitted to CMS via email no later than Aug. 26, 2025.
