DOH Makes Minor Correction to Nursing Home Cost Report Software
(June 10, 2025) The Department of Health (DOH) has posted an updated version of the 2024 Residential Health Care Facility (RHCF) Medicaid Cost Report software on the Health Commerce System (HCS). The update corrects a minor issue with Schedule 17, the Capital Cost Schedule, and is now available for download on the HCS. Those who have started their report should be able to update the software without losing any entered data, although we recommend saving a backup copy before doing so just in case.
DOH is fielding Cost Report and HCS access questions at RHCF-HCS@health.ny.gov. DOH notified providers of the update (copied below) via email on June 9th. The report and required Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Operator certifications are due July 31st, as are financials for any related companies. Those who may need to establish new access to the certification section of the HCS should do so well in advance of the due date.
