Nursing Home Medicaid Cost Reports Due Aug 14th

(Aug 10, 2026) Nursing Home Medicaid Cost Reports for 2025 along with operator and Certified Public Accountant (CPA) electronic certifications are due Aug. 14, 2026. Providers with related parties must email audited financials to RHCF-HCS@health.ny.gov for the report to be accepted (please include the facility name and seven-digit operating certificate number in the subject line). Members should also ensure that they have the necessary Health Commerce System permissions in place for those certifying the reports.

Please note that the timely submission of the cost report is back as a point-scoring metric for purposes of the Nursing Home Quality Initiative (NHQI). If a provider believes that they will not be able to submit by Aug. 14^th they should reach out to the department using NFRates@health.ny.gov to request an extension. The associated Dear Administrator Letter (DAL) is here. DOH is fielding cost report questions at RHCF-HCS@health.ny.gov.
