DOH Nursing Home Managed Care Webinar Rescheduled for March 20th

The Department of Health (DOH) advised LeadingAge NewYork that their webinar on the transition of the nursing home population and benefit to Medicaid managed care has been rescheduled for 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Thurs., March 20th. The webinar is being rescheduled due to technical difficulties encountered when previously attempting the webcast on March 10th.

To participate, dial 1-855-232-0664. Attendees should click here to access the webinar and use event number: 641 196 986 and event password March20. Pre-registration is not required.

This will not be an in-person session. The in-person session was held on March 10th and was attended by LeadingAge NY. At that time, DOH gave an overview of the planned transition and two managed care plans presented on billing and related issues.

The transition to managed care is still planned to begin April 1, 2014 in NYC, Nassau, Suffolk and Westchester Counties and the rest of the state starting Oct. 1, 2014. We strongly encourage nursing home members to participate in this session, particularly those in the downstate region. Managed care plans and consumers are also invited.
