Updated Lists of Valid ICD-10-CM and PCS Codes for FFY 2022

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) has posted updated 2022 ICD-10-CM and 2022 ICD-10-PCS codes to be used from Oct. 1, 2021 through Sept. 30, 2022.

The 2022 ICD-10-CM files contain information on the ICD-10-CM updates for Federal Fiscal Year (FFY) 2022.

The 2022 ICD-10-Procedure Coding System (ICD-10-PCS) files contain information on the ICD-10-PCS updates for FFY 2022.

There is no GEMs file. As stated in the FY 2016 IPPS/LTCH PPS final rule (80 FR 49388), the GEMs have been updated on an annual basis as part of the ICD-10 Coordination and Maintenance Committee meetings process and will continue to be updated for approximately 3 years after ICD-10 is implemented.
