CMS Unveils New Online Nursing Home Resource Center

On Oct. 30th, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) launched a new online platform – the Nursing Home Resource Center – to serve as a centralized hub bringing together the latest information, guidance, and data on nursing homes relevant to providers, residents, and their families, especially as the fight against COVID-19 continues.

Previously, individuals seeking nursing home-specific information needed to navigate multiple webpages looking for answers. Quick access to up-to-date information and resources, including the guidance released since March 2020 in response to the pandemic, has become increasingly important.

The Resource Center consolidates all nursing home information, guidance, and resources into a more navigable platform and includes features specific to residents and their families, ensuring that they have the information needed to make empowered decisions about their health care. With the new page, consumers can efficiently navigate all facility inspection reports and data – including COVID-19 pandemic-related information.
