Changes to PACE Federal Quality Reporting

With the release of the Health Plan Management System (HPMS) PACE Quality Monitoring Module on April 2, 2018, PACE organizations are required to use the module to report all Quarter 2 PACE quality data and may no longer use the portal for these submissions. However, the portal will remain available for PACE organizations to provide responses to previously submitted PACE Level II events and to ask policy questions.

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) recently posted a Quality Monitoring and Reporting guidance document that provides a listing of possible incidents accompanied by reporting thresholds and indicators when root cause analyses are required. An accompanying FAQ document is available here.

CMS conducted training on the new module and reporting requirements in late March and has posted the slides here.
