21st Century Cures Act Requirement

A reminder that the Department of Health (DOH) has requested that Medicaid managed care plans contact any of their network providers that are not actively enrolled as Medicaid fee-for-service providers by Oct. 1, 2017. DOH has developed and shared an outreach letter that plans can use to inform such network providers that the 21st Century Cures Act requires the provider to submit an enrollment application to Medicaid by Dec. 1, 2017. Providers who fail to enroll will need to be removed from Medicaid networks.

DOH slides outlining the initiative and listing the provider categories that are required to enroll are available here. DOH distributed a list of providers that are enrolled in Medicaid to each plan's PNDS contact, and an updated listing is available here. Providers actively enrolled in the Medicaid fee-for-service program need not take any action.
