RECAP: LeadingAge NY 2026 Affordable Housing Conference in Syracuse
(May 11, 2026) LeadingAge NY last week hosted its annual Affordable Housing Conference at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Syracuse, bringing together more than 70 affordable senior housing professionals, policy experts, and vendors for two days of education, updates, and peer networking focused on strengthening housing and services for older adults.
The conference programming addressed the fast-changing policy and operational environment facing mission-driven affordable and supportive housing providers, including property and facility managers, housing leaders, and Service Coordinators and service providers, with sessions examining federal housing policy shifts, compliance requirements, resident wellness, building safety, and strategies to meet the evolving needs of aging tenants. Attendees also had the opportunity to build connections with peers and share practical approaches to serving low-income older adults in senior housing communities.
Across the agenda, speakers provided attendees with practical tools, policy context, and implementation strategies to help housing providers foster safe, inclusive, and resilient communities for older adults.
Attendees may access conference materials via the event app or the web-based Attendee Hub and are encouraged to provide their feedback to help shape next year’s conference and future training opportunities through LeadingAge NY and its national partner, LeadingAge.
