LeadingAge NY Representative Attends RAD for PRAC Workshop

On Nov. 20th, a LeadingAge NY representative was fortunate enough to attend a Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) for Project Rental Assistance Contract (PRAC) Workshop held by the Local Initiatives Support Corporation in New York City (LISC NYC). The purpose of this workshop was to help providers who are interested in RAD for PRAC understand what the process entails and how to begin a RAD for PRAC conversion. Tom Davis, Director of the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development's (HUD) Office of Recapitalization, provided an excellent overview of the practicalities of RAD for PRAC conversions and what providers should keep in mind and be aware of before they begin the conversion process.

The presentation also covered the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development's (HPD) role in RAD for PRAC conversions and the completion of capital needs assessments and environmental reviews. Any questions about RAD for PRAC may be directed to Linda Couch at LeadingAge National and Sara Neitzel at LeadingAge NY.
