Second Phase of New York State Affordable and Supportive Housing Plan Launched

New York State Homes and Community Renewal (HCR) recently announced the issuance of the Multifamily Open Window Requests for Proposals (RFPs). The RFPs include:

  • $30 Million in Operating Funds for Supportive Housing. A targeted homeless population included in this funding is “frail or disabled senior citizens.” The RFP for this funding is available here, and all proposals are due by 2 p.m. on July 24th;
  • $588 Million for Affordable and Supportive Housing. This RFP includes funding for several HCR construction and preservation programs, and applications may be submitted any time before March 1, 2018, or until all allocations of resources are committed; and
  • $63 Million for Supportive Housing. This RFP was issued by the Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance (OTDA) and includes the elderly as a targeted population. Proposals are now being accepted, and application materials can be found here.
