Deadlines for HCR Unified Funding Applications Modified
The application deadlines announced in the Notice of Funding and Credit Availability for the Multifamily Program Unified Funding Process have been modified as follows:
- Early Award Projects must be completed and submitted by 5 p.m. on Thurs., Oct. 18, 2018;
- Early Award ESSHI Projects must be completed and submitted by 5 p.m. on Thurs., Nov. 15, 2018; and
- All other UF 2018 Capital Applications must be completed and submitted by 5 p.m. on Wed., Dec. 19, 2018.
A webinar that will include a presentation of project application requirements and the Unified Funding process will be held at 1 p.m. on Thurs., Sept. 20, 2018. This webinar will be recorded and made available here.

The Multifamily Program Unified Funding Process includes funding for the Low-Income Housing Trust Fund Program (HTF), Community Investment Fund Program (CIF), Supportive Housing Opportunity Program (SHOP), Public Housing Preservation Program (PHP), Middle Income Housing Program (MIHP), and the Housing Choice Project Based Voucher Program. It also includes availability of tax credits under the federal Low-Income Housing Credit Program (LIHC) and state tax credits under the New York State Low-Income Housing Tax Credit Program (SLIHC).
The Unified Funding Multifamily Programs Request for Proposals describes the programmatic and submission requirements for the above-listed programs. Applicants may also apply for funding through the Rural and Urban Community Investment Fund (CIF) and the Housing Development Fund (HDF), as well as through the Section 8 Housing Choice Project Based Voucher Program.
