Resources to Preserve Affordable Senior Housing: LeadingAge Webinar Series and HUD Office Hours

(July 15, 2025) Join LeadingAge and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the following upcoming learning opportunities on the Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) for Project Rental Assistance Contracts (PRAC):

  • Additional HUD Office Hours Designed for RAD 202 PRAC Owners: HUD’s Office of Recapitalization is hosting additional office hours to help affordable senior housing providers understand their property preservation options through RAD, a critical senior housing preservation tool, on July 23rd at 1 p.m. According to HUD, program experts will be available to engage with property owners and their partners on how to use RAD for Preservation Rent Increase (PRI) tools to recapitalize and reposition Section 202 PRAC properties. HUD previously hosted office hours in June that LeadingAge and its members found helpful. Stakeholders can join RAD Office Hours for PRAC Owners and Partners via Teams or dial in by phone using conference ID 636 285 976 (find a local number or dial 1-347-921-5612,,636285976#).
  • LeadingAge RAD for PRAC Webinar Series: “Preserving Your Aging HUD Property”: Join LeadingAge for a special mini-series on RAD in September. Many affordable senior housing providers are exploring preservation options for aging PRAC properties with limited opportunities to attract recapitalization and rehabilitation investment. The September webinar series, taught by affordable housing expert Gates Kellett, will review the basics of RAD and then dive into best practices and pitfalls to avoid. Whether you are just beginning to explore RAD or seeking to refine your approach, this insightful two-part webinar series will provide valuable knowledge and practical guidance for making informed decisions and ensuring the long-term success of your housing portfolio.
