HUD Corrects and Clarifies Service Coordinator Grant Application Requirements; LeadingAge Recordings and Resources Available Now

After LeadingAge made the agency aware of discrepancies in submission requirements, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) made technical corrections to its Service Coordination Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) to clarify narrative lengths for grant application components and correct the overall submission limit to 25 pages.

Additionally, during a Feb. 6th webinar, HUD provided an overview of the NOFO and addressed advance questions, including inquiries submitted by LeadingAge and its members. During the webinar, HUD stated that the minimum office space guideline of 350 square feet – seen as infeasible by many housing providers – will be considered a recommendation rather than a requirement by HUD staff reviewing applications. HUD is expected to post a recording of its webinar soon.

Applications for the new Service Coordinator grants must still be submitted by March 14th. Find more information – including the slides and recording from LeadingAge’s members-only workshop series on the NOFO and a sample Supportive Services Plan that can be customized by members applying for the funds – on LeadingAge’s Housing Tools and Resources webpage.
