Following LeadingAge advocacy, HUD has tentatively agreed to delay the deadline for Standards for Success reporting for Service Coordination programs.

HUD is completing the final COVID-19 Supplemental Payments to multifamily housing providers in waves this fall.

LeadingAge National will host a policy update call on the Housing Opportunity Through Modernization Act on Oct. 24^th at 1 p.m. Plus, HUD has provided a new resource to help providers update their policies for compliance.

HUD’s new protocol became effective Oct. 1^st and represents a comprehensive overhaul of the agency’s housing safety oversight approach.

HUD announced $160 million in awards to 25 nonprofit organizations, including 11 LeadingAge members, to build and preserve affordable housing for older adults with very low incomes through the Section 202 program.

Following advocacy by LeadingAge National, HUD has delayed HOTMA implementation deadlines and will allow owners discretion in enforcing new asset limits for current residents, a strong step in helping to prevent evictions of older adults who rely on HUD’s rental assistance programs.
