Federal Reconciliation Package Rescinds Some GRRP Funds

The reconciliation bill passed by the U.S. House Financial Services Committee would rescind all unobligated GRRP funds, presumably those that would otherwise be used by HUD for energy benchmarking and the hiring of needed staff to help administer the largest of the GRRP awards.

After a January executive order, HUD stopped processing and advancing most awards to multifamily affordable housing providers. The April 15th preliminary injunction seeks to immediately lift that freeze on congressionally approved funds.
