Last Chance to Register for Symposium on Healthy Senior Housing

LeadingAge NY and Enterprise Community Partners are co-hosting a Symposium on Healthy Senior Housing on Mon., Dec. 5, 2016 from 1-6 pm at 63 5th Avenue in New York City. The symposium will convene practitioners, thought leaders, and policymakers in the housing and long term care industries to discuss opportunities to expand senior affordable housing with services that enhance health outcomes of older adults.

The keynote speaker will be Dennis Shea, the primary author of a recent report by the Bipartisan Policy Center called Healthy Aging Begins at Home.

The first panel will explore Housing Plus Services models being introduced around the country and how such approaches not only help elders to “age in place,” but can also be great sources of potential savings for both Medicare and Medicaid funds. The second panel will discuss efforts to implement these approaches in New York, where there has been great emphasis on saving Medicaid funds.

Please join us for this in-depth conversation on the need to more intentionally integrate services into senior housing so that we can adequately care for New York’s next generation of seniors.
