UAS-NY update

LeadingAge NY membership, across the spectrum of home and community-based providers and health plans, is asking that the Department of Health (DOH) delay the currently scheduled roll out of the new Uniform Assessment System New York (UAS-NY). MLTC plans will be the first to be affected, with an implementation date of July 1. This new assessment tool takes the place of a variety of other assessment instruments currently in use. As reflected in our letter to DOH, the provider community has simply not had sufficient opportunity to work with the new tool and develop the systems and experience necessary to successfully implement the UAS-NY starting July 1.
