Wage Parity Forms Due March 1st

The next round of State-required wage parity certification forms is due March 1, 2020. The wage parity requirement pertains only to entities that provide or arrange for aide services in New York City, Long Island, and/or Westchester.

Certified Home Health Agencies (CHHAs), Long Term Home Health Care Programs (LTHHCPs), and Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) must certify prospectively to the Department of Health (DOH), on an annual basis, their compliance with the Wage Parity Law. Certification forms are for the period March 1, 2020 to Feb. 28, 2021 and must be sent by email to HCWorkerParity@health.ny.gov.

MCOs, CHHAs, and LTHHCPs that contract with Licensed Home Care Services Agencies (LHCSAs) and Fiscal Intermediaries (FIs) are required to obtain a written certification on a quarterly basis from the LHCSA, FI, or other entity which attests to compliance with the Wage Parity Law. The form, due March 1, 2020, covers the period March 1, 2020 through May 31, 2020 and must be sent by the LHCSA or FI to the MCO, CHHA, and/or LTHHCP, not DOH.

Providers can access the wage parity forms here. Please change the date on the form to reflect the time frame for which you are reporting. Questions about wage parity can be sent to DOH at HCWorkerParity@health.ny.gov.
