Revised Uniform Billing Rate Codes for Home Care and Managed Care
On Wed., Oct. 4th, the Department of Health (DOH) announced that the revised billing codes for home and community based long term care services had been posted on their website and that any questions should be directed to nfrates@health.ny.gov.
This list of codes replaces the list first issued by DOH in January 2017. Providers and plans need to update billing software and update Managed Long Term Care (MLTC) contracts with these revised codes by Jan. 1, 2018. Over the past year, LeadingAge NY and other associations worked with DOH to amended these billing codes; these changes are reflected in the “Dear Providers and Plans” letter issued on Sept. 22, 2017.
