Regulations Proposed Relating to Private Duty Nursing

The Department of Health (DOH) recently issued a proposed rule to implement a fee-for-service (FFS) rate increase for private duty nursing (PDN) services provided to medically fragile children. Providers would be required to enroll in a provider directory, and the rates would be implemented over a three-year period starting Oct. 1, 2020. The increased rates would be used to address the shortage of nurses for this patient population. The proposed regulations were issued July 8th, and public comment expires Sept. 8, 2020.

Please let us know if you have comments or concerns regarding the proposed regulations so that we may offer feedback to the Department.
