LHCSA Statistical Report Workgroup
The Department of Health (DOH) Division of Home and Community Based Services has asked LeadingAge NY to serve on the Licensed Home Care Services Agency (LHCSA) Statistical Report workgroup. This workgroup will be reviewing the existing annual statistical report required by LHCSAs.
As stated in the invitation, “the goal of the workgroup is to redesign and restructure the report to increase the timely and accurate submission of information by identifying areas of reporting that can be streamlined to increase compliance and accuracy in data reporting.” As we have previously reported, this data is necessary to allow DOH to formulate policy decisions. This report will also verify worker shortages and potentially assist in developing methods to attract and retain workers.
DOH anticipates convening four meetings, with the first scheduled for May 1st.
