DOH Extends LHCSA County Patient Survey
The Department of Health (DOH) announced on Oct. 29th that the 2021 County Patient Survey for Licensed Home Care Services Agencies (LHCSAs) will be closing on Mon., Nov. 15, 2021 at noon. This survey was developed to update information for identifying the counties in New York State that have need for additional LHCSAs. Members are encouraged to complete the document.
On Sept. 27, 2021, the Department released a Health Emergency Response Data System (HERDS) survey to update the data that it collected in the 2020 HERDS LHCSA County Patient Survey. LHCSAs were asked to submit an unduplicated count of patients served between April 1, 2020 and April 1, 2021. Counties with "no need" are planning areas with five or more LHCSAs actively serving patients.
