2018 LHCSA Statistical Reports Now Posted on HCS

The 2018 Licensed Home Care Services Agency (LHCSA) and Assisted Living Program (ALP) LHCSA Statistical Reports are now available on the Health Commerce System (HCS) for providers to complete. Please see the Dear Administrator Letter (DAL) issued by the Department of Health (DOH) last week regarding the updated process. Like last year, the reports include the annual registration process that is required of all LHCSAs and ALP LHCSAs.

More information on this requirement is available in a recent LeadingAge NY Intelligence article. Additionally, DOH will be updating their Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) documents this year as provider questions arise. You can find the instructions and FAQs in the HCS by accessing Long Term Care>Training>Home Care>LHCSA Statistical Report.

Please note that LHCSAs that do not register by Jan. 1, 2020 through this report process will not be allowed to operate, provide services, or receive reimbursement from any source and will be exposed to fines. Please read the DAL documents carefully. The 2018 LHCSA Statistical Report is extensive, and the successful registration of your LHCSA depends upon your submission of an acceptable report. Again, the LHCSA and ALP LHCSA Statistical Reports (which include registration) are due Sat., Nov. 16, 2019.

Questions may be sent to the Department by emailing HCStatRpts@health.ny.gov.
