Hospice Quality Reporting Program Update

Providers that failed to meet requirements of the Hospice Quality Reporting Program (HQRP) for calendar year 2017 have been notified via a letter that was mailed and placed in their CASPER folder on the Quality Improvement and Evaluation System (QIES) on July 9, 2018. If a provider was out of compliance in 2017, their Medicare Part A rates effective Oct. 1, 2019 will be reduced. A provider receiving notification of non-compliance has until Aug. 7, 2018 to file a reconsideration request. Instructions on how to do so are included in the letter and are available on the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) website here.
