Home Care Cost Report Webinar Scheduled for Thurs., March 28th

Home care providers should tune in to the Department of Health (DOH) and KPMG's annually scheduled Lessons Learned webinar relating to the 2022 Home Care Cost Report on Thurs., March 28th at 1 p.m. Please see DOH's announcement below and their call for questions. The Home Care Cost Report is required for Certified Home Health Agencies (CHHAs), Licensed Home Care Services Agencies (LHCSAs), and Fiscal Intermediaries (FIs).

Agencies not required to report include the following:

  • Assisted Living Program (ALP)-only agencies
  • Private pay-only agencies
  • Hospital-based CHHAs or LHCSAs
  • Private duty nursing-only agencies
  • Agencies receiving no Medicaid reimbursement [through Fee-for-Service (FFS) or Managed Long Term Care (MLTC)]
  • LHCSAs that contract with CHHAs and provide no other home care services
  • CHHAs that provide ONLY hospice services
  • Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE)-only facilities
  • Nursing Home Transition and Diversion (NHTD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) program-only facilities

During the webinar, DOH and KPMG will cover lessons learned during the 2022 Cost Report submission and audit process, along with future Cost Report updates and other relevant information. Please note that DOH and KPMG will do their best to address these questions during the webinar; however, they cannot guarantee that they will respond to all inquiries due to the high volume of questions that are anticipated.
