Deadline Approaching for EVV Implementation

All providers delivering Medicaid personal care (PCS) and home health care services (HHCS) are encouraged to attend the next Electronic Visit Verification (EVV) Technical Assistance Call scheduled for Tues., Oct. 6th from 2 to 3 p.m. Providers may register here when the link is posted. The EVV implementation deadline for providers of Medicaid PCS is Jan. 1, 2021.

The Department of Health (DOH) has posted its EVV Technical User Guide to the eMedNY website. The guide will assist providers of PCS and HHCS, as well as their consultants/contractors or EVV submitters, in preparing for and conducting EVV as required under the federal 21st Century Cures Act.

DOH will continue to hold Technical Assistance Calls, and the recordings are available on the DOH site. Providers should start to register their selected EVV solutions. Statewide testing will occur in October. DOH's resources on EVV are available here. All questions and concerns regarding EVV may be directed to EVVhelp@health.ny.gov.
