Home Health PPS Rate Calculator Updated

LeadingAge has updated the Medicare rate calculator for Certified Home Health Agencies (CHHAs) with 2018 calendar year rates. The calculator is a Microsoft Excel template that applies the appropriate wage index based on the user’s selection and displays 60-day episodic as well as non-routine medical supply rates.

The final 2018 standardized 60-day episode rate is $3,039.64 for both rural and urban areas. As previously reported, the projected net impact of the 2018 rate updates is an $80 million reduction (0.4 percent) nationwide, which includes a 1 percent inflation adjustment, the discontinuation of the rural add-on, and a case-mix growth adjustment of 0.9 percent.
