The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) will provide certified home health agencies (CHHAs) with a review of what to expect in the first performance year of the expanded Home Health Value-Based Purchasing (HHVBP) Model and highlight the resources provided during the pre-implementation year in a livestream of their on-demand video, “First Performance Year Quick Guide,” at 4:30 p.m. ET on Thurs., Jan. 19, 2023. Attendees will have the opportunity to submit questions during the event.

The resources follow a situation, background, assessment, and recommendation (SBAR) briefing format, leading to a recommendation that home health agencies conduct a strategic review of quality performance and develop and implement an action plan to address identified opportunities for improvement. In addition, content includes a description and timeline for the expanded Model performance reports.
