On June 17^th, CMS issued its 2023 home health proposed payment rule, which would cut provider reimbursements by $810 million by implementing the previously delayed “behavioral assumption adjustment.” We are in the middle of an ongoing crisis, and home health members need CMS to delay the proposed payment cuts. In June, CMS proposed to cut Medicare payments to providers of home health services. Adding salt to the wound for providers serving vulnerable populations, CMS proposes reclaiming $2 billion paid to providers throughout 2020 and 2021 to “reconcile retrospective overpayments.” Please take a few minutes to enter your information and contact your lawmakers in support of proposed legislation that would prevent these devastating proposed cuts from eroding access to home health services.
