NYS Commission for the Blind Provides Resources for Individuals with Vision Impairments

The New York State Commission for the Blind has released a webinar describing the services it offers, including services for older adults with blindness. These services are available to assist facilities serving individuals with blindness and to individuals living independently in the community. They include assistance with discharge planning from a nursing home or hospital and in-home services through the Commission's Adapted Living Program. The Adapted Living Program offers Adjustment Counseling, Rehab Teaching, and Orientation and Mobility services.

The webinar slides are available here, and the recording is available here. More information about the Adapted Living Program is available here.
