CDC Hosts Webinar on Mental Health and Spiritual Care in Emergencies

The Department of Health (DOH) notified LeadingAge NY of an upcoming Centers for Disease Control (CDC) webinar on Mental Health and Spiritual Care in Emergencies. CDC and the National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (National VOAD) will host a special webinar about the mental health and spiritual care aspects of emergency response at 1 p.m. EDT on Tuesday, August 29.

Topics for discussion will include stress, stigma, isolation, populations more likely to be adversely affected by specific emergencies, and effective communication to address mental health concerns. Interested participants may join the event using the information provided below.
