2016 National Home Care and Hospice State of the Industry Study

LeadingAge CAST just announced the release of the 2016 National Home Care and Hospice State of the Industry Study. LeadingAge CAST and others served as advisors on its National Steering Committee. This is a complimentary report by Fazzi Associates.

Included in the 49-page report are over 30 topics of interest to home health and hospice providers. The level of detail in this study includes insights on the present and future use of technology, telehealth, outsourcing services, workforce shortages, health care reform partnerships, operational practices, and other areas for home care, hospice, and palliative care. It also has a section on future concerns, which include Medicare regulations, reimbursement, and consolidations. Three areas of interest for providers include predictive analysis, what other countries are doing about health care, and social media. The recommendations on the findings are based upon a three-prong approach: what do we know, what does it mean, and what should we do about it.
