Assisted Living Residence (ALR) Regulations

The Assisted Living Residence, or ALR, is held to a combination of different regulations. First, it must be licensed as either an Adult Home or Enriched Housing Program. It must also follow ALR regulations, found in Title 10 NYCRR parts 1001, which can be found here.

It is important to be aware that after the ALR regulations were implemented, a lawsuit was filed and ultimately certain regulations were nullified.  The regulations have not yet been updated to reflect those changes, but members can learn more here.
