MRT Supportive Housing Allocation Plan

The Governor's proposed budget includes $91 million for supportive housing initiatives. The Medicaid Redesign Team (MRT) Affordable Housing Work Group worked to draft a plan to allocate the funding. LeadingAge New York was on this work group and fought hard to ensure that funding for seniors in affordable housing was included. We are pleased that this allocation plan includes a pilot project we proposed, to infuse funding into affordable senior housing and adult care facilities for capital and supportive services. Another pilot seeks to help move managed long term care enrollees out of nursing homes and into housing in the community. We will work to ensure that this funding is in the final budget agreement. More information is available on the MRT website.
