LeadingAge NY Continues to Press for ACF/AL COVID-19 Relief

Throughout the year, LeadingAge NY has been working in partnership with other associations to push for $75 million in COVID-19 relief for all adult care facility (ACF) and assisted living providers. We have received support for this ask from many key leaders in the Legislature, and a sign-on letter in the Senate was sent to the Department of Health (DOH) and the Governor’s Office. Additionally, Assemblymember and Health Committee Chair Richard Gottfried sent a letter to the Governor and the Commissioner of Health in support of this request. With the New York State budget process upon us, we are again meeting with key members of the Legislature, the Division of the Budget (DOB), and the Governor’s Office to urge them to include funding for ACFs and assisted living in the budget process. Members should continue to raise this issue in any conversations you have with your representatives.
