ACF and Assisted Living Advocacy Day Details

Our Adult Care Facility/Assisted Living Advocacy Day will begin at 10:30 A.M. on May 10, 2016 at the Hinman Straub office at 121 State Street in Albany.

Meetings are planned with the Department of Health (DOH) Director of the Division of Adult Care Facility and Assisted Living Surveillance, Valerie Deetz, as well as key legislators and staff. LeadingAge New York is making those appointments for the group; however, you are welcome to schedule meetings with your specific representatives as well.

It should be noted that our Assisted Living Program (ALP) members will have the opportunity to discuss ALP-specific issues with key DOH staff at 9 a.m., before Advocacy Day officially begins. ALP members planning to attend should let us know so we can alert DOH and provide further communication in advance of the meeting.

Any member is welcome to participate Advocacy Day, however registration is required. Click here to register, and to access additional information and materials for the day. Participants should plan on spending the day in Albany, as we will have meetings scheduled throughout the day. Lunch will be provided. Remember to wear comfortable shoes!
