New Revised ACF Financial Report Is Now Available on the HCS
The Department of Health (DOH) has just posted a Dear Administrator Letter (DAL) announcing the availability of the 2018 Adult Care Facility (ACF) Annual Financial Report on the Health Commerce System (HCS). As we have previously reported, the Department revised this report significantly. LeadingAge NY participated in a stakeholder workgroup to revise and streamline the report; click here for background on that endeavor. In addition to the DAL, DOH provides the following attachments, which members should review carefully:
The deadline for submission of the 2018 ACF Annual Financial Report and the relevant certifications, for ACFs using a calendar year as their fiscal year, is Jan. 31, 2020. ACFs using a fiscal year period that differs from a calendar year are required to file their report by the 15th day of the sixth calendar month following the close of their fiscal year. To learn more about the changes to the report, members are invited to attend a DOH-hosted webinar on Nov. 18, 2019 at 2 p.m. We strongly encourage members to participate in the webinar so that they are aware of the current changes as well as changes to come for assisted living programs and enriched housing programs in future reports. During the webinar, the DOH accountant team will review the revised report format and answer questions. DOH strongly suggests submitting questions in advance by sending them to DOH’s Nancy Nowakowski via email at acffinrpt@health.ny.gov by Nov. 13th, as asking a question during a webinar can be challenging.
