LeadingAge NY Advocates for Flexibility Regarding CPA Certification Requirement for ACF Financial Report

Adult care facility (ACF) members are reminded that the ACF Financial Report is due May 31st. LeadingAge NY has heard from some members that the requirement for the ACF CPA Certification to be completed by all adult homes with 10 beds or more is costly and difficult to comply with. We have been raising your concerns with the Department of Health (DOH) and worked with other ACF associations to send this letter to the Department requesting additional flexibility this year for adult homes. The requirement is currently optional for Enriched Housing Programs (EHPs); however, beginning in fiscal year 2020, all ACFs (including EHPs) with 10 beds or more must submit the ACF CPA Certification. We will keep members apprised of any developments with this issue.

If you have any questions, please email DOH at acffinrpt@health.ny.gov.
